When Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic Match at UFC 226 in Las Vegas on July 7 for the first time in UFC history, the heavyweight and light heavyweight champions will square off at the Octagon.
Miocic started with Cormier as a -185 favored coming back at +155.
Miocic, that will put his title on the line, is riding a six-fight winning streak with five successes coming from first-round knockout. The Cleveland native has put himself firmly in the discussion of best heavyweight ever with a success over Francis Ngannou at UFC 220. With that win, the record was place by Miocic at three.
Cormier is no stranger to the heavyweight division, as”DC” opened his professional MMA profession a perfect 13-0 in the weight class before going down to light heavyweight. Cormier has quietly assembled among the most impressive resumes in all of combined martial arts together with wins over Anthony”Rumble” Johnson, Alexander Gustafsson and Frank Mir.
Cormier will be attempting to become only the fighter in history to hold 2 UFC belts concurrently, linking Conor McGregor, who accomplished the feat in 2016.
